Project Description
From the passion for gastronomy and the desire to continuously improve, beautiful projects are born. Such is the case with this project for the renovation and modernization of a professional kitchen within a kindergarten in Bacău.
We were very happy to contribute to creating a suitable space for preparing food for children. Young ones need varied, fresh meals prepared to the highest quality standards. Professional HoReCa equipment also plays its role in preparing good and healthy food, and compliance with industry regulations is an indisputable requirement when it comes to the safety of children.
When we take on a project like this — setting up a canteen kitchen — we are delighted, because we get the opportunity to walk through all the stages of a successful fit-out together with the client. We start with technical consulting, continue with the 3D design of the space and the HoReCa equipment, then we supply the equipment and handle its proper installation.
Technical Consulting
We were invited to assess the space where food for the children is prepared and to come up with a proposal for improving the production process. We found a rather old, worn-out cooking range with multiple defects that could no longer be repaired, and an exhaust hood that no longer met current safety and efficiency standards.
Together with the kindergarten administration and the kitchen staff, we identified the actual needs of this kitchen, the type of daily menu served to the children, so that we could outline an efficient thermal preparation line with a significantly superior production capacity.
During the consulting process for the acquisition of professional kitchen equipment, after considering the entire production process, we devised the best possible solutions.
Choosing the Right HoReCa Equipment
It was decided to replace the old hood with a professional one made of stainless steel, with labyrinth filters for grease separation and a fan capable of evacuating steam and combustion fumes.
Taking into account the specific nature of the kitchen, we proposed a complex cooking line with central placement, designed to be operated simultaneously from both sides.
This includes a gas cooking range made up of two professional stoves, each with 2 burners with open flame, 3 gas hotplates for large pots, a gas grill with a mixed cooking surface, and a professional electric convection oven with a maximum capacity of 10 trays.
3D Mapping of the Project
To ensure we had considered every detail and to discuss the specifications with the decision-makers, we created several 3D models of the fitted space, from which the kindergarten representatives selected the one best suited to their kitchen staff.
Supply of Professional Equipment for the Kindergarten Kitchen
We ensured the equipment arrived safely and selected the most high-performing cooking equipment within the agreed budget. The cooking equipment line is from Gazi, a Slovak brand offering high quality standards.
We chose Line 700 gas hotplates with 12 kW power, on open cabinet. For grilling food, we have the 15 kW gas grill with a ½ smooth + ½ ribbed surface. And for food cooked on the stove, two 2-eye cooking ranges — burner power 1x5.0 kW + 1x7.5 kW — with double crown.
The gastronomy oven chosen is manufactured by Sogeco, in Italy, with a capacity of 10 GN1/1 trays, operating with humidification and convection. A stainless steel stand was also ordered for the oven, where trays can be stored.
HoReCa Equipment Installation
The installation and commissioning proceeded quickly and without any obstacles, thanks to the detailed equipment placement plan we had created for the thermal preparation area, in which we had thoroughly defined all technical aspects, including supply lines, drainage, and exhaust duct systems.
Following this partnership, the result is a modern, efficient, and safe kitchen where delicious and varied meals can be prepared for the children of this kindergarten. The final result is best seen in the accompanying video. We thank everyone involved in this project for the wonderful collaboration!
